Age Related Macular Degeneration or ARMD affects around 5 million people in the US and UK. It is a progressive degenerative retina disorder, affects people of all ages and may lead to central vision loss and eventually blindness.

It is generally accepted by the medical community that there is no cure, but research indicates that a correct diet can be a major contributing factor to slowing down, preventing and in some cases reversing macular degeneration and gradual blindness. The recipes will help you cook appetizing meals from fresh ingredients to get the correct nutrients, specifically the antioxidants Lutein and Zeaxanthin in support of using dietary supplements.

This site is not maintained by any medical staff but by people living with ARMD -- we understand how difficult it is to get the correct information and apply it in the correct way every day.

We sincerely hope you find this site useful in starting an ARMD friendly, antioxidant rich diet. Please feel free to leave feedback as you think necessary.
